Finally a function that makes Facebook useful. This feature probably has been there since their last redesign, but I just found out about it. You can get certain notices or people out of your news feed. All it takes is a slight moment of your hand and two mouse clicks.
From your news feed, mouse over one of those notices you'd like to get out of your news list. In this example it's a Farm Town notice. In the upper right hand corner "hide" will appear. Click on it and select "Hide Farm Town" This will effectively remove any Farm Town notices from cluttering up your news feed.
If you want to unhide something, on the bottom of the news feed is "Edit Options". Click on that.
