New Web Site
I've been making great progress on the new Blog Oklahoma web site. I'm hoping to have it completed within a month of so.
One of the most requested features will soon come to light, a way to manage multiple blogs under one account. To accomplish this I'll need to move some data around. I'm planning to do this sometime in the next few weeks. I'm delaying this a little so I can give everyone time to make sure their data is correct.
The new accounts will be based on your e-mail address instead of by username. If you've registered multiple blogs and you've used the same e-mail address on each one, I'll be able to combine all of them under one account.
If you have multiple blogs registered with different e-mail addresses, please take this time to set all your blogs to the same e-mail, otherwise you'll end up with multiple accounts (like you have now).
Oh and don't worry if you don't get to it before I start moving data around. I can always make adjustments for you after the new site comes online.
Another feature I just finished up is a new way to generate web ring codes. I posted a teaser of it on our Google+ page the other day. It's a web ring wizard of sorts. You'll be able to select from different graphics and ring navigation styles.
And speaking of ring navigation, no one will have to make any changes to their current web ring code. Even though I'm upgrading the code behind it, it will still work with what everyone has now.
For now I'm not going to be putting out a weekly podcast. The time I usually spend working on the podcast can be spent working on the new web site. Watch for special episodes to come out on an irregular schedule.
I'm also thinking on changing a few things. The show format I've been using just isn't working for me. It's time to change things up.
I invite everyone to listen to past episodes and let me know what you think. Your feedback is always welcome.
The Blog Oklahoma Google+ circle continues to grow. I've been posting some exclusive web site updates and other things that come to mind on G+. One of these days we need to have a hangout. To join us on Google+ you can these shortcuts: gplus.to/blogoklahoma or blogoklahoma.com/gplus.
Voter Registration Deadline
It's still not too late to register to vote for the March 6th Presidential Preferential Primary. Voter registration applications are available at your local county election board, post offices, tag agencies, libraries and many other public locations. You can even get an application online from the Oklahoma State Election Board. But remember you must get your application in before February 10th.
Your feedback is important. So please feel free contact me with your comments or questions. You can get hold me in a multitude of ways just visit blogoklahoma.com/contact for more information.
Until Next Time. – K.
