It was a relatively uneventful day at the cold dark north-facing windowless office. It was the usual daily tasks and customer support. I don’t have any code projects for the moment. Yes, the daily stuff needs to be done, but I’d much rather be working on a project.
While my day might have been mundane, I can’t say the same for Kevin McCarthy. He just lost that big promotion he worked so hard for. He is no longer the Speaker of the House. Politics can really be strange. A small fraction of his Republican caucus turned on him in a significant way. The Democrats tried to work with McCarthy, but he wanted to play petty politics. So, with every Democrat and eight Republicans, McCarthy was ousted as Speaker.
I guess that leopard finally ate his face.
