(YouTube) Mike Jeavons – I ate nothing but chicken nuggets for a week and it was brilliant

I just watched Mike Jeavons do one of his “week on” challenges on YouTube. This time, he did chicken nuggets and chips (fries) for every meal for a week. He did his challenge plain with no sauce. His variety came from what kind and brand of nuggets and fries he picked up.

I can remember having chicken nuggets for an entire week. It wasn’t just the nuggets; they were my only meat. It was between paydays, so all I had was what was in the fridge and cupboard for the week. So, I had to get creative.

One night, it was just nuggets out of the microwave. The next was baked nuggets in BBQ sauce with instant mashed potatoes and canned corn. Honestly, it is still one of my go to low-budget lunch-by-myself meals. Another night, it was chopped nuggets with iceberg lettuce, tomato, and ranch dressing. And the final night was nuggets with pasta and alfredo sauce.

There were also many cans of pinto beans, instant ramen noodles, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that week.

I will never turn my nose up at a bag of frozen chicken nuggets (or frozen meatballs for the same reason). They are versatile and quick to make.
