Donna and I watched the partial annular solar eclipse from the comfort of our back porch, surrounded by alley cats. Any solar eclipse, partial or otherwise, is always a spectacular thing to see. As the moon passed, the light dimmed, and the temperature dropped. I had to go put on a sweater. Ha! The sun went down to just a smiling crescent, and the shadows under the trees smiled right back.
