Our new advanced digital meter was installed today. AEP/PSO has been slowly rolling out these new meters across Oklahoma over the past few months. They’re building up their new Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) as a way to have near real-time communications with your home and the rest of the power grid. The read out on the meter is nice and clear. You should have no problem keeping track of how much power you use. Though I will kind of miss watching the old meter spin up when the dryer was turned on. Ha. I went ahead and covered up the meter number when I took this picture, not that I think anyone can do anything with it, but you never know.
