Netscape 6 was released yesterday. I've taken the day to look it over. Netscape added a few new features that I like, such as a tabbed sidebar with news, sports, and other things. The integration of AIM was a plus (AIM still sucks though, use ICQ, Yahoo or MSN they are much better IM's), and Netscape is skin-able (much like NeoPlanet). Netscape finally supports many of the style attributes supported in MS Internet Explorer, like link hover colors. However, it still doesn't use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) correctly. Mostly Netscape just added stuff instead of trying to improve the browser technology, I think that is AOL's influence. AOL would much rather you use their service and proprietary content, than surf the web. Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 still beats it.
