Relaxing on a Thursday

I was off today. A little break in the week for those of us who worked Saturday. So I spent it relaxing, watching movies, and playing a little 7 Days To Die. I only had one phone call and two messages from the office. Ha!

Donna and I watched The Thing From Another World on Tubi this morning. It wasn’t a bad movie, but it had so many sci-fi movie tropes: Shoot first, military takes charge, absentminded guards, renegade scientists, a thrown-together love story, and a lumbering alien.

This was the second James Arness movie we watched in so many days. We’ve seen him on the far ends of the country. Chasing giant ants in the New Mexico desert to lumbering around as a giant radioactive carrot above the Arctic Circle.

I found some interesting movies I’ll have to dig into on Tubi. They weren’t on our Spooky Season list, but I’ve saved them to finish watching. Search for “Synthwave Horror“. They took classic black-and-white horror movies and added synthwave music and neon colors. I watched The House on Haunted Hill and started watching Nosferatu.
